A Touch of Leopard Into Fall

Happy Monday! I used to dread Mondays as it was the start of a long work week, but I have been using a lot of the skills I teach my clients, to be present in the moment and love each day! As I write this post, I am switching back and forth to a manuscript I'm working on for publication (I'm hoping I don't accidentally mistake the two, as fashion and writing about mental health are very different!). So here's to a good and productive week- anybody else have a busy week as well?

I will always love leopard pieces and I hope it never goes out of style! For me, wearing just a touch of leopard adds so much to an outfit. I'm sharing a few of my favorite leopard prints and some pieces to match (I love leopard with neutrals, black, olive green, or a bold red). I'm absolutely loving these leopard flats and scarves (I might have to purchase these Topshop pants, June & Hudson shirt, and Kate Spade leopard flats- so cute, right?!)

In Love With Nantucket

If I won the lottery, Nantucket is somewhere that I would seriously consider moving to. It's one of those places that is perfect everywhere you look. The houses are ADORABLE and all look very similar. I was told that the island is 14 miles long and 3 miles wide, so we got to see a good bit of it. Some of the places we visited included the Brant Point Lighthouse which was a pretty popular place for pictures, Surfside Beach, Cisco Beach, and Cisco Brewery (I had the BEST lobster roll here!).

It was hard for me to pack for beach weather in September because I knew it may be a little chilly. The weather was perfect (except for the last day) so I threw this maxi skirt into my luggage and it was so comfy to walk all around Nantucket in. I tend to pack very light (surprisingly for a girl, right?)- I keep saying I'm going to take more than just a small carry on luggage and purse, but it's SO convenient! We will see for the next trip : )

First Time to Cape Cod

"You are amazing. Remember that."

I went to Cape Cod for the first time this past weekend and all I can say is GORGEOUS! I'll have another post on Nantucket, but our time spent in Cape Cod was so relaxing and beautiful. We stayed at a beach house, Winstead Inn and Beach Resort right on the ocean and it was adorable. They had breakfast every morning and we enjoyed drinking our coffee in rocking chairs on the front porch. We did some exploring around Cape Cod and the homes just felt so cozy. We loved it. It was officially the last weekend of Summer. I have mixed feelings about it, because I LOVE fall, but I never like to see summer go.

I purchased this long maxi dress at a boutique a couple years ago in Sugarcreek, OH, but I am sharing some long-sleeved dresses that will be perfect into fall. I especially have my eye on dress 1 and 4 below. These are my sandals (Express). Wearing this Tarte pencil on my lip with this Kat Von D liquid lipstick in soft lilac on top.

Blushing Into Fall

Similar Dresses: NastyGal and BCBG | Shoes: Express (last year), similar here or splurge here | Clutch: LV Wallet |

I purchased this dress at TJMAXX (favorite store EVER!) and love it! Blush pink is adorable- I never really thought about it being a good color for fall, but I had my wedding in fall and one of the colors was blush and it was perfect <3 so now I think it's perfectly okay : ) I love these booties for fall and winter because they are seriously SO comfortable! I plan on wearing them a lot over these next two seasons.

I'm heading to the salon tomorrow and getting rid of this ombre hair… any ideas on what color to do!?

Fall Goodies

I am SO excited for fall jackets, booties, and hats; fall definitely has my heart when it comes to clothing and accessories. I am sharing below some of my favorite fall goodies which are reasonably priced. I am hoping to especially purchase that hunter green blazer/jacket (my favorite color for fall) and those cute open-toe/open-back brown booties. I love September in Ohio because it's a perfect transition into fall! If we could have this weather all year round, I would be so pumped. We are however, headed to CapeCod next week and I can't wait to enjoy a few last days of summer on the beach! I have been writing a journal article and working on a manuscript for publication, so I am SO looking forward to relaxation : )

Ripped Jeans and Stripes

It's pretty obvious that I like to wear a ton of black and white clothing (just check out my other posts!). As I mentioned in my last post, I am NOT ready to give up off-the-shoulder shirts just yet, so I am wearing them almost daily and I plan to in the fall as well. My shirt is from Express and I purchased it earlier this year, unfortunately it's no longer on the website, but here, here, and here are super cute tops. My jeans are from Forever 21 (the ones I have on are a different wash). I really like the higher waist with tops like this. My flats (brown here) are from Target (I love Target!) and they are under $15. I wear them in the office because they're so comfy. Love these quay sunglasses, I get so many compliments when I wear them! Lastly, my choker... I have a confession- it's actually a headband : )

Weekend Beauty Products

I wanted to share a few of my favorite products recently. I have been using the Bye Bye Pores by It Cosmetics lately because it really helps hide flaws and my large pores. To give you a little background on my face- I never had acne as an adolescent, but I started getting cystic acne in my late 20's (possibly due to stress from my schooling) and I have horrible scarring. I am prescribed two topical creams to prevent breakouts, but they definitely still happen. The creams leave my skin very dry and red, so I have looked and looked for something to give me that silky finish to hide the flaws, and so far this product has been the best! I recently started using Anastasia Contour Kit which I love as well. I am definitely no expert with make-up but the powder makes it easy for newbies in the contouring world (like me!). Lastly, I am OBSESSED with colourpop cosmetics. This color is my favorite, but I have bought at least 10 of them because they are so well priced and last ALL day!

Off-The-Shoulder Tops Into Fall

I can't believe it's September! I am not ready to give up off-the-shoulder tops yet so I have started to wear them with jeans (mine are express and are SO comfortable) and cute booties, like these. This blouse is old, but I have found this one and this which is very similar and under $40. I'm also excited to wear long sleeved off-the-shoulder tops, like this one. My motto is- wear off-the-shoulder tops as long as we possibly can : )
I am looking forward to this long weekend away from the office. Have a safe holiday weekend!
